A prime example of Italian design the Mach A-Bar is an absolute asset to the front of your 4x4 giving you a mounting spot for headlights and an excellent stylish finish. Made to EU legislation standards the A-Bar is a 63mm stainless steel tube which is powder-coated satin black for durability and unique styling.

This also has a lower plate cross bar that has a cutout logo and offers protection to the lower of the front bumper from road debris and stone chips. The bars for the Ranger will fit all models including the Wiltrak and all cab styles. A-Bars are not only a great styling accessory but also offer some degree of front protection from light impact such as car park damage and road debris.

Why do we use stainless steel?

We could use a cheap mild steel and then chrome plate it when manufacturing our bars but we don’t.

Why not?

Because after a year or so the bar would look unsightly when weeping rust stains appear. In the iron/carbon mix chromium is also added which gives the steel its stainless qualities. The chromium element stops the iron from oxidising and becoming rust (iron oxide).

Road salt used during European winters and sea salt, speed up rust formation and again gives us another good reason to use stainless steel here in the UK & in Europe where our products are sold. Stainless steel can be exposed to the elements all year round and with a little polish now and again, can look as good as the day it came out of the packaging.

This is the reason boat makers use stainless, and not mild steel. Our stainless has a 3-year warranty, and features a mirror polished chrome or black powder-coated look (on some black finished items) but is in fact more expensive, and more durable, stainless steel.
